Wampus Cats single-game tickets go on sale

The Uwharrie Wampus Cats have made single-game tickets available beginning today for all 2025 home games.

Albemarle and the Uwharrie Region's college wood-bat club will open its third season's home slate on Saturday, May 24, against the Greensboro Ducks and will be playing all 25 of its home dates at a newly-upgraded Don Montgomery Park.

This year, the facility will include several big changes, including brand new LED stadium lights, Wampus Cats-branded backstop padding, wrapped bleachers, several rows of padded bleachers, a large hospitality area with tent covering and a misting station.

“We greatly appreciate our partnership with the City of Albemarle and our home environment this year is going to be better than it's ever been,” said Wampus Cats owner Greg Sullivan.

Most single-game tickets are $6.75 per ticket in advance (plus a 99 cent e-ticket fee) and are available for $8 at the gate. Tickets are open seating, except for reserved areas. Parking for all home games is free.

In addition to their home games, the Wampus Cats will be playing away games at rival squads like the Mooresville Spinners, Queen City Corndogs, Carolina Disco Turkeys, High Point-Thomasville Hi-Toms and Boone Bigfoots.  The season ends with their late-July tournament.

New to this year's home schedule is the Marion Hungry Mothers, a team playing out of Marion, Virginia's Hurricane Stadium, a former New York Mets farm club facility where Nolan Ryan started his pro career.

"We're looking forward to some new opponents and new trips and also playing existing rivals," Sullivan said. "We'd love to thank all of our supporters, business sponsors and government partners for helping make our season possible."

Tony Villar will be the Wampus Cats' general manager this season. Field managing duties will go to former two-time Wampus Cats player Bryson Bebber, who played baseball at St. Andrews University.
