Wampus Cats home schedule released

The Wampus Cats have released their 2024 home schedule, featuring 25 games at Don Montgomery Park. 

Uwharrie opens by hosting their Highway 52 Cup rival, the Carolina Disco Turkeys, on May 25 at 7 p.m. in their first of four matchups on the season.

In addition to other Southern Collegiate Baseball League foes that include the Queen City Corndogs, Mooresville Spinners, Regulators Baseball Club, Statesville Owls, Lake Norman Copperheads and Concord Athletics, the Wampus Cats also host non-league games with the Race City Bootleggers, Carolina Ducks and Greensboro Yard Goats.

The regular season concludes with a home game against the Yard Goats on July 20. Following the regular season, the SCBL Tournament begins on July 22. Because the tournament games are hosted by the higher seeded team, the tournament could mean additional home games for the Wampus Cats.
